Hair!!!!!

Ok so this portrait is amazing. the light is just perfect so that it reflects into her eyes and makes them jump out at u. The makeup and hair match perfectly which also makes the eyes pop. The Hair is done in a great knot too.

I just found this very interesting to look at. it almost looks like there is two different types of hair. old white matted hair. and cornrows

With light and ppl it can be very tricky. Natural light is of course the best for sure. I f you can always take your pictures outside. But sometimes the outdoors can be a little bit to light in which case you have several options. One you can put both your subject and you in the shade. If your subject is in the shade and you with your camera are not it will be to dark so u must both me in the shade. Also shooting with the sun to the side of your subject making the light hit one side of the face.

high fashion = ART!

The High fashion world is all about making up new styles and bringing them to the table. High Fashion designers are very much artists in a way that they making pieces of art that are worn. An artists job is to make you have an emotion. Well wearing a certain piece of clothing can make a person feel a certain way and adopt certain manners.
I must say that when i watch models walk down the runway i can see that they are wearing moving pieces of art.

Gucci Sunflower dress

GUCCI dress. I love the sunflowers that are all over it. It has pockets too!!!! yes!!! score!!! I hate wearing a little dress, or skirt but i hate having to carry around my money or whatever when ur trying to go clubbing. The pockets kinda give it a bubble skirt kinda feel. which is adorable!

frizzy hair that looks beautiful

So this is amazing hair. even though it is really frizzy i like it a lot. which is weird because (due to the fact that i have ridiculiously frizzy and curly hair) i am not normally fond of frizzy hair. but this looks good. Its original while at the same time doing a farmer girl braid.

i LOVE these shoes. I think they are so original. and they look incredibly comfortable. i want so bad.

Originality?

So i recently was in a discussion with a close friend of mine about what it means to be original. The question came up that since everybody is special in their own way... is anybody truly special? Since we were three when we were watching barney or seseme street we all remember being told, " there is no one quite like u." So is everyone is special in their own way...well then everyone is special and therefore no one is. This made me stop and think. In middle school most tweens try the most they can not to stand out. Which is understandable once you think about it. You having wierd things happening to your body, suddenly the opposite sex is actually looking good, and now ur have entered the dmost dreaded teen years. Of course your gonna think u look stupid and dont wanna stand out. So suddenly you no longer want to stand out because you are "special." But want to blend in as mujch as possible so you do not half to concentrate on looking special while at the same time you are trying to master the new crazy things that are happening to your body and mind. Then High school comes and you have now mastered the changing body and are now trying to find yourself. Normally you will join a clique in which you will identify your personality, look, and friends by. Some teens think they are special, while others think that they are nothing and should just try and get through life. So were did the originality go? I honestly do not know, and honestly a little confused. So please give me your viewpoints, or tell me if you are just as confused as i am.

So for some pictures they look more striking and original when they have the color a little off. In the picture above the contrast in colors is what ultimately makes it a good picture. The black rim of the hoop against the oddly colored clouds draws your eyes to it. But it also has feeling to it. The basketball hoop looks like it hasn't been used in years combined with the overcast sky above gives off an eary feeling to it. Like it hasn't had any children play with it for years. Which begs the question what happened to all the children? There is feeling to this photo and a story. That is what makes a photo worth taking.

This was taken on my 18th birthday when i was hanging out with jenna. I like it cause it reminds me of how small we really are and how big the world we live in really is. plus the sky is always beautiful.


Sunflowers are my favorite!!!! They have been since i was little. This particular flower i was given a boutique of during my grad party. The key to shooting flowers is to never shoot them when they are perfectly in the middle of the photo. It does not do them justice. This is where more then ever the three quarter rule of photography comes into play.


This shot gives a good view of the beauty beneath are feet that we dont always pay attention to. Just so you know if you want to be a good photographer u need to be willing to bend your body and to lay on the cold muddy forest floor to get a good shot. Do anything for that one picture.


U dont always have to shoot at ur eye level. This was taken looking straight up at the sky, and it turned out gorgious. U need to be looking everywhere. this is where the talent comes into play, you have to have a good eye and spot things.


Lighting!!!! It is the most important thing in all photography. If your lighting is bad then no matter what your photo will be bad as well. Natural lighting is always prefered over anything. turns out after all the technology of today the best light still comes from a thing that has been around for 3000 years.

OMG! i am in love with this outfit. I love the dress / shirt. I think u could pull it off as both.
What interests me is how the whole photo is kinda a grungy vibe, except for the bright yellow ring on her right hand.
And the leather jacket kinda gives off a kimono type vibe i love it!
And her hair just completes it. its great.

Makeup and hair in High Fashion

So i have been noticing this fohawk style a lot lately in the world of high fashion. And i must say i am becoming very fond of it. I want to do my hair like this. It gives it an elegant flair with a hint of rebellion. i love it!


Ok... So this is definatly without a doubt high fashion runway hair. Its crazy and new which basically describes the high fashion industry right now.


This fan look was originally used by geishas in Japan. Now it is back on the runway. Along with the cat eyes and red lipstick. Cat eyes are new and have not as far as i can tell been used before in fashion. So this is a trend that has not repeated itself yet. I have found that not all girls can wear this look though. For some it creats a squinting look. And red lipstick... thank god its back in!!!


Ok this is one of the reasons i love high fashion. Its originality is amazing! This girls dots look awesome on her face and successfully make her eyes appear more round and makes her ive off the appearence of a young child.


I love her cheeks. they are the perfect pink in my opinion. and i love it. Also another trend that has been around for a while is that all the makeup on her face is cordinated so that her eyes jump out at u. Makeup artists are starting to use whatever they can to make the eyes of the model jump out at u giving the model a striking appearence that catches your eye.


This is very bright. A little to bright for me but I am using it to illistrate how fake eyelashes have not only become a way for batting your eyes to be flirty but also to make an outragious fashion statement. These fake eyelashes are everywhere in the malls and shops. I have even seen them at walmart. The only funny thing is i have never seen any person walking down the street trying to pull these off. So i really do wonder who is buying them all up and what are they useing them for?

Wow!!!! what a hair piece. I love this picture as well. Everything about the model is made to point to her feathers stuck in her hair. Where they positioned her in the shot, her makeup, her skin tone, what she is wearing, even her face.

I'm new and decided that my first blog would be about me and to kinda illistrate who i am.
My name is SarahMarie. Im 18. and I am in love with life!!!!



Photography is my Hobby, Job, Business, Love, and Passion. I took a class when i was 14 and didnt like it that much. About a year and a half ago I decided to start to take pictures on one of the walks I took almost every afternoon to calm down. And I wound up taking more pictures then walking. I was hooked thats for sure!!!!! I now work at a photography studio as well as go out on my own doing senior pics. It basically is a major part of my life.


My family comes first no matter. I dont care who u are or where u come from if u say anything against my family i will stand up for them. I am the oldest of 6 and feel very priviliaged to be so. Their names are Chris, Danielle, Nicole, Aaron, and Mahala. Chris is my bro and was my best friend all growing up. Danielle is the girly-girl and is teaching me many things. Nicole is the smarty pants of the family and never can go a minute without talking. Aaron is all boy and is gonna be a heartbreaker. Mahala is the youngest and is my squishy princess.


I have this best friend and she is amazing!!!! I dont know where i wouldbe without her. Her name is Jenna. We are so opposite in some things but in others we are exactly the same. I am 5'11" feet tall and Jenna is 6'0" feet tall. Yes, we are the Amazons of our city. We are both tall and not bad looking at all. But in other ways we are totally different. She is sweet and kind and would never hurt anybody. I am very outspoken and can be a little bossy at times. We even each other out...... well they do say opposites attrack... apparently that doesnt just apply to love interests.
There is so much more to me then whats on the surface. I am strong because I have lived through some aweful things. I am a lover because i know what it means to fight for who i love. I am a christian and believe in god rather then religion because religion is controlled by man and man is full of mistakes. I love my life because i know what it is like to be nothing and to have nothing. I am grateful so so so much for the grace God has given to me. I am not proud of everything i have done but I am proud that i have made it this far. I am me and no other. And i will never ever be fake.
